Orange – is an evergreen fruit tree belong to citrus family. Translated from the Dutch orange literally means “Chinese apple.” Wood brought by the Portuguese in Europe and now grows well along the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea, as well as in Central America. Oranges have been known as a remedy before our era.

Oranges contain vitamins A , B1 , B2 , PP and microelements magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, calcium, and iron . But the main advantage of oranges , like all citrus – is vitamin C. 150 grams of orange contains 80 mg of ascorbic acid , which cover the daily requirement for vitamin C.

Oranges are useful to the body as a whole and for the digestive , endocrine, cardiovascular and nervous systems in particular. Orange beneficial effect on the healing of wounds and abscesses . Calming effect , strengthens the nerves , has beneficial effects on the central nervous system .

 

Orange juice contains volatile. This explains its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity. Orange juice – good antiscorbutic. Orange juice activates the activity of all body functions, improves metabolism, has a tonic effect. It is useful for patients with diabetes mellitus. Recommended for beriberi, fatigue, loss of strength. Stimulates appetite, good thirst quencher, especially during fever.

Oranges – a lovely dessert, they improve the appetite of the child, are useful as a general tonic. Due to the presence in them complex vitamins and other biologically active substances, these citrus fruits are recommended for the prevention and treatment of hypovitaminosis, liver diseases, heart and vascular metabolism.  Pectins, which are contained in oranges, contribute to the process of digestion, enhance motor function of the colon and reduce it putrefaction.
